Praise Is Who I Am is an artistic and spiritual performance presented by Keomi + Abundant Praise, using dance and artistic performance as vehicles for gratitude, creativity, connection, and abundance. This work affirms and intentionally holds space for all people—across identities, genders, bodies, and belief systems—to gather and honor the divine as they personally understand it.

Rooted in lived experience, the performance traces of Keomi’s journey as a praise dancer. Through movement and embodied artistic expression, the show navigates seasons of faith and self-discovery, beginning with traditional praise dance, expanding into spiritual dance, and ultimately arriving unapologetically at twerk and abundance dance. Each transition reflects a process of unlearning: releasing inherited shame, confronting restrictive narratives around the body, and reclaiming joy as a sacred, embodied practice.

Artistic performance elements weave throughout the work, offering visual, rhythmic, and expressive layers that deepen the narrative beyond movement alone. Together, these elements form a ritualized experience that honors both the personal and collective aspects of praise.

This journey ultimately returns Keomi’s childhood dream: to be a praise dancer and to build her own praise company—now reimagined through liberation, embodiment, and abundance rather than limitation or fear. Praise Is Who I Am resists the separation of sacred and sensual, asserting that fullness, pleasure, rhythm, and self-expression are valid forms of praise.

The performance is brought to life by Keomi + Abundant Praise, a collective of dancers and artists offering their magic, lived experiences, and creative voices as an abundant community.
