Keomi Tarver is a San Diego native, multidisciplinary performing artist, director, choreographer, educator, and Artistic Holistic Healer whose work lives at the intersection of movement, storytelling, healing, and community. Her artistic practice is rooted in dance and expands across theatre, performance, education, spiritual practice, and multidisciplinary storytelling. After more than a decade of living and creating in New York City, Keomi is bringing her artistic practice to San Diego, shaped by years of performance, education, collaboration, and a deep belief in the transformative power of movement and artistic expression. Her journey has taken her from stages and classrooms to museums, community spaces, retreats, and cultural institutions, allowing her to use movement and storytelling as tools for connection, expression, and transformation.

As an educator and teaching artist, Keomi brings her professional practice into classrooms and creative spaces, supporting emerging artists in developing not only movement vocabulary and technique, but voice, confidence, curiosity, and a deeper relationship with their own creative practice. At the heart of Keomi’s work is the relationship between healing and artistic expression—the belief that what we create, embody, share, and release can become part of how we heal. Through movement, storytelling, performance, education, and community, Keomi creates spaces for expression, connection, transformation, joy, and possibility.
